NVQ Level 4

Simply put, NVQ Level 4 are National Vocational Qualifications. It”s good way to ensure that you attain all the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to execute your job perfectly. It is one thing to imagine that you are actually doing your job well but it is another thing to do the job according to the standards that are required by the industry.

Having these qualifications sets you up perfectly to be able to meet these levels well for instance having the NVQ Level 4 qualification means that you are able to carry out duties that lie within that level of job requirement attributes.

The different qualifications that you will come across are representative of the different needs and demands that are required for the different jobs. This is important because it helps employers and employees alike to know how they can get where they want to get using certain qualifications. With NVQ Level 4 qualification, it is expected that one has the ability to use knowledge and skills attained to be able to execute various duties and all these have to be executed in different contexts.

Since the NVQs are actually have no formal definition in relation to the more conventional and common academic qualifications of today, it only makes sense to attempt to compare them. This comparison is done to provide some statistical information. The London School of Economics’ Research Lab for instance looks at the NVQ Level 4 as being equivalent to BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND), or City & Guilds Full Technological Certificate / Diploma.

The University for the Creative Arts relates the NVQ Level 4 as being somewhat equivalent to a diploma, first degree, nursing or teaching qualification, HND. This means that if someone has this qualification, they can hope to work in places where people who got different but equivalent academic qualifications from the University for the Creative Arts.

Also, NVQ Level 4, when compared to NQF qualifications, can be equivalent to Certificates of Higher Education. This means that someone who has the NVQ qualification is looked at in the same view as someone who has a Certificate of Higher Education.

Depending on the level, the NVQ goes on to classify the economy into a number of areas. Some of these include tending animals, plants and land, communicating, manufacturing, extracting and providing natural resources, developing and extending knowledge and skill and providing goods and services among others. Whether it is the NVQ Level 1 or NVQ Level 4, each of the levels represents a classification of the economy in one way or another. Right from the lower levels up to the highest levels of senior management, there is a representation of the economy.
