NVQ level 5 Health And Safety
The government allied national vocational qualification course provider City and Guilds offer the NVQ level 5 health and safety courses for the individuals who are related with the organizations that provide health and safety based service or those individuals who are working as a social worker. This health and safety related courses of level 5 are specially designed for the managers, supervisors or the staff of an organization. This course will not only help the candidates to gain a national recognition but also will help to develop the techniques to be followed to take good care of health as well as maintain the safety measures in the internal environment of any organization.
In these NVQ level 5 health and safety courses the candidates will be provided with 8 core units such as managing the utilization of the financial resources available for the firm to use, securing financial resources for the organization’s plans, developing and reviewing the organization’s health and safety strategy, influencing and keeping pace with improvements in health and safety practice, promoting a positive health and safety culture within the organization, developing and implementing the health and safety policies, identifying the learning and developing needs of that organization, and developing strategies and plans for managing the changes in people resourcing etc.
In these NVQ level 5 health and safety courses there are some optional units available too, from which the candidates will have to choose 3 units. The management of activities to meet up the requirements, contribute to the improvement at work, managing the performance of teams and individuals, developing and implementing systems and procedures within the organization, implementation and development of effective communication systems for health and safety information, contributing to the development of learning within the organization, arranging health and safety related learning programs etc. Managing the contribution of other people to the learning process, designing, delivering and evaluating changes to organizational structure, and contributing to these procedures etc. are also included in these NVQ level 5 health and safety courses.
The initial assessments to be done for each candidate before beginning the training programs are – whether the candidates has done any primary training that is relevant with this course, the units that they have chosen have they completed it in their prior levels etc. There are no entry requirements fixed for applying for these courses. The candidates are to be at least 19 years of old and they should be working in any organization on the post that will be covered in this course. On an average it takes approximately 15 to 18 months for the candidates to complete this course but in some cases it is completed within the first year again in some cases it takes longer than the general schedule to complete these NVQ level 5 health and safety courses.
