NVQ level 5 In Management
The NVQ level 5 in management courses are designed to broaden the area of knowledge of the candidates as well as making them understand their area of work. This course is also set to enable the candidates to face different complex problems and situations with a trial to formulate the solutions for those problems. The level 5 courses are equivalent to the intermediate higher educations such as diplomas of higher education, foundation and other degree courses that are not facilitated with the postgraduate certificates. In this level of education the candidates are to involve with the demonstration of high levels of knowledge as well as a high level of work expertise in their work places.
The Institute of Leadership and Management has well framed the NVQ level 5 in management training programs for the development of the managers especially for those who are working as middle level managers. In this course the candidates will be given 4 mandatory units to study. The units are – development and evaluation of operational plans for the candidates own area of responsibility, providing leadership and direction for the responsibilities they are given, planning the changes in their own area of responsibility, and working productively with a the colleagues and stakeholders etc.
In this NVQ level 5 in management course the candidates will be facilitated with a range of optional units to be chosen from. They optional units are – establishment of risk management procedure for the organization, promoting equality of opportunity, diversity and inclusion across the organization, examining the staff turnover issues in own area of responsibility, promoting the use of technology within the organization, managing health and safety of the staff, monitoring and reviewing business procedures, conducting a quality audit, developing a customer focused organization, planning and decision making on behalf of the organization for the achievement of its goal etc.
The overall credit value of this NVQ level 5 in management course is minimum 38 of which the candidates will be given 23 credits for compulsory units and they will have to manage the rest 15 credits from their optional units. The guidelines for the course’s learning will be provided to them for minimum 168 hours to maximum of 218 hours. The introduction of this course will be covered within one hour and the tutorial support will be provided by the instructors for at least two hours. The duration of the overall course will be at most three years.
In order to get admitted in this course the candidates need not to have any formal educational requirements because the learners will be provided the support to undertake their own assessment to determine appropriate level and the optional units. The candidates are requested to be employed in an organization so that they will be able to gather practical experience in this NVQ level 5 in management course.
